A Single Server Retrial Queue in Bernoulli Schedule With Feedback on Non-Retrial Customers

In this paper, we consider an M/G/1 retrial queue with Bernoulli feedback and general retrial times where the external arrivals blocked either with probability q join the infinite waiting room called non-retrial queue or with probability p, (p+q = 1) leave the service area and enter the retrial group called orbit in FIFO discipline. Also we assume that only the customer at the head of the orbit is allowed to retry for service. The customers (both retrial and non-retrial) are served by a single server with general service time distribution. After getting service a non-retrial customer is allowed either to feedback with probability β or departure with probability α such that α + β = 1. The queue length process is embedded at departure epochs for obtaining the stationary distribution of the queueing model. Particular cases of the queueing model are studied. Some performance measures are given. Optimal control policies are provided to study the operating cost of the queuing model.
